Our new puppy

Last weekend our family bought a puppy. It is a chocolate lab soft wheaten terrier puppy. We have named her Meg. On Thursday at lunch time we are going to Christchurch to pick her up. Its bed is going to be a black fish bin with lots of blankets lining it so Meg can be comfortable. The puppy is going to sleep in our laundry. Meg is going to get used to our cat Henie. We are looking forward to getting Meg. It will be exciting.

Today in the computer lab we watched Hector Protector and his friends. We watched the episode called "Details, Details", which talked about how important it is not to share all of your personal details on line. Personal details means our full name, address, e-mail and telephone number. We also had a wee look around on the map to see all of the fun activities that are on this website.

Then we went into our own blog and learnt how to put a comment on, making sure that we made a comment that was meaningful to the person or thing that we were commenting on. We also only used our nickname or first name at the end of our comment.

We then went on to learn about ComicLife and started making Cyber Safety posters. We will put these on our blog once we have completed these.

Fun At The Portobello Aquarium

It was really wet when we got to the Aquarium.We sat in a room and had lunch. Group 1 was the first to go to the touch tank. I enjoyed watching the scallop run away from the sea star. I found out that the father sea horse had the babies. My favourite animals were the crabs, sea horses and the sharks. After we had watched all the animals we went home on the bus.

Our Trip to the portobello Aquarium

On Monday we went to the Portobello Aquarium. We went to the lab to have our lunch. My favourite thing was when Jean put the Sea star in the same tank as the Scallop. The scallop swam away because it was scared the sea star was going to eat it. I learnt that the Snake Skin chiton had one shell broken into eight pieces. I liked going to the aquarium and on the way back I was very tired.
